Mini historia...Mid Abril 2016
These fourth graders are on a roll they keep me on my toes. Clase playing grudge ball. Teacher: Dime 4 frutas. Estudiante: Oh no thats hard! Clase: Just think you know a lot. (All of the sudden...) Estudiante: Manzanas, bananas... Teacher: Dos más Estuiante: I don´t know Teacher: Piensa (Think) Estudiante: Bananas, manzanas rojas, manzanas amarillas, manzanas verdes. Clase y Teacher: JAJAJAJAJAJA Abril 2016
Teacher: ¿Quien es feo Bart o Pepe? Clase: ¡Bart! Teacher: ¿Por qué? ¿Por qué Bart es feo? Estudiante 1: Sus shorts son feos Estudiante 2: Porque su pelo es feo. Refection... WOW! I got chills when I heard that last full sentence. The were more through out the class. Another student thought of Pepe and Gloria are an ex boyfriend/girlfriend. Yet, 5 seconds later told me that full sentence en español. I know that learning a second language takes time and is a slow process, but days like these are priceless! November 2015
It always amazes my how when students are engaged I can speak at 100 miles per hour and they can understand. How do I know... They laugh at the correct times. |
